Copier Tracking & Control

At the core of PaperCut MF is the ability to interface directly with MFD hardware to track off-the-glass functions such as copy, scan, fax and secure print release. PaperCut has worked directly with leading MFD manufactures to bring PaperCut software directly to the MFD at a firmware level.

Implementing secure print release across a heterogeneous fleet of print devices is becoming an important requirement in coperate print environments. PaperCut provides secure print release and find-me printing across devices using a number of techologies including embedded MFD software, embedded printer software, networked based proximity card readers, print release stations and special print terminals.

Track Printing

PaperCut's core purpose is to track all printing in a network environment. It keeps detailed print logs for all user printing activity. This logging helps to understand printing at the level of interest, such as by user, printer, group, department, office or shared account.

Shared Accounts

PaperCut has two types of accounts - personal accounts and shared accounts. Each user has a personal account. This is the default account charged under normal operation. In some organizations and businesses it may be useful to provide users (or selected users) with the option to charge printing to a shared account.
