Many small networks may not be controlled via a central domain server. These networks are sometimes referred to as workgroups or peer-to-peer networks. On these networks users may not log on to their desktop, or computers may be shared by multiple users. The Allow user to perform printing as another user option may be useful in non-domain/logon environments. User accounts can be set-up in the system hosting the printers and users can select their account using usernames and passwords for each print job, irrespective of which user account is currently logged onto the workstation.
PaperCut MF can also be configured to manage its own set of user accounts. See the section called “Internal Users (users managed by PaperCut MF)” for more details.
