In a clustered environment the behaviour of PaperCut NG on the workstations is identical to that of a non-clustered environment. The one exception however is in terms of configuration - The clients need to be configured to connect to the Virtual Server rather that directly connecting to a node. (i.e. network connections need to be made via virtual server's designated IP address). The changes necessary are:
The User Client's configuration file config.properties
needs to be edited
so the server-name
and server-ip
directives point
to the virtual server. The default install may use the node's information. The
config.properties
file is located at
[app-path]/client/config.properties
. Networks using Mac clients
may also need to change the file located at
PCClient.app/Contents/Resources/config.properties
.
Ensure that any URL's pointing to PaperCut NG's web administration and user interfaces;
http://[server]:9192/admin
and http://[server]:9192/user
user the virtual server's name. For example, any links on the organization's intranet
site or links supplied to other system administrators.
